ELIGIBILITY
a) indefinite leave to remain in the UK; OR
b) ‘settled status’ (also known as ‘indefinite leave to remain under the EU Settlement Scheme’); OR
c) indefinite leave to enter the UK (permission to move to the UK permanently from abroad)
3. prove you were in the UK exactly 5 years before the day the Home Office receives your application
4. prove your knowledge of English, Welsh or Scottish Gaelic
5. have passed the life in the UK test
6. intend to continue living in the UK
7. be of good character
8. Not outside UK for more than:
i) SETTLEMENT / ILR STATUS: 2 years
ii) SETTLED STATUS: 5 years;
iii) SETTLED STATUS – SWISS CITIZEN OR FAMILY MEMBER: 4 years
